The Gleneagles Hotel has announced it will close from Friday 13 November until 31 January 2021, following news that the Scottish area of Perth and Kinross will be moved into tier three restrictions.
In a statement Glenegales said most of its bars and restaurants on the estate will be kept “closed”, however it aimed to keep golf courses, and leisure membership facilities open for use. The hotel’s Dormy restaurant will also be open for local residents to serve food and non-alcoholic beverages each day until 6pm.
The five-star venue first closed earlier this year in March when Scotland entered into a national lockdown.
Glenegales said: “Having worked so hard to provide a safe environment across our estate, we are saddened by this development, but we’re committed to taking the additional measures necessary to protect the health and wellbeing of everyone at Gleneagles, and to play our part in minimising Covid-19 cases in the region.
“We look forward to reopening hotel guest facilities on Monday 1 February, subject to government regulations.”
